PLOT

In one epic story told over five nights, Torchwood: Children of Earth, re-joins Captain Jack, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones who are still coming to terms with the death of two of their closest friends. Despite their pain, they still have a job to do. This time they are faced with their fiercest threat to date - one that puts the future of Torchwood and the entire human race spiraling into danger when every child on Earth completely stops — announcing in one inhuman voice, “We are coming.”. They battle against the odds, but do they stand a chance of saving mankind?

 

 

CHARACTERS

Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman)

The origins of Torchwood’s team leader, Jack, are obscure and he likes it that way. However, he has vast practical experience working with aliens and dealing with crisis situations. He has come through a lot of scrapes intact, and is unafraid of dangerous situations. In fact, whatever the threat, he’s usually ready with a flirtatious quip.

Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles)

A former police officer, Gwen brings procedural skills to the team and a sensitivity that helps them greatly when it comes to dealing with victims. She is grounded, straightforward and very determined, and in the murky world of Torchwood she often acts as the team’s conscience. Her ability to coordinate activities has led her to be recognized as the team’s deputy leader.

Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd)

Ianto deals with all of the team's administrative issues. His knowledge is eclectic, his attention to detail unrivaled and his ability to anticipate the team's needs before they have arisen is uncanny. He dislikes it when his remarkable efficiency is taken for granted, however, because when required, he is also more than capable of undertaking field work for the team.
